Partner description
E-zavod is Slovenian based non-profit research and development institution with the mission to improve citizen’s quality of life with implementing concrete actions and projects focused on supporting of sustainable development. In the last 15 years E-zavod has implemented a number of projects introducing new sustainable trends to Slovenia, especially smart cities, circular economy, bioeconomy and nature-based solutions. Activities are always developed bottom up with co-creation methods and close cooperation with local and national decision makers. Sustainable development trends are accompanied with innovation support, using living lab methods and innovative financing, for example crowdfunding. E-zavod implemented over 50 international projects in the past 15 years and is currently coordinator of EIT Climate KIC HUB Slovenia.
Partner involvement in the UPSURGE project
E-zavod is a coordinator of the UPSURGE project as well as contributor to the activities regarding living labs, co-creation processes and inclusion of citizens to the decision making about nature base solutions in participating cities.
