CENTOURIS presents UPSURGE project to the Consul General of the French Republic for Bavaria https://www.upsurge-project.eu/centouris-presents-upsurge-project-to-the-consul-general-of-the-french-republic-for-bavaria/ Wed, 09 Mar 2022 09:50:00 +0000 https://upsurge-wp.boat.opencontent.io/?p=740 CENTOURIS presents UPSURGE project during the visit of the Consul General of the French Republic for Bavaria in Munich at the University of Passau.

France has held the EU Council Presidency since January 1, 2022 and will thus lead all developments at EU level in the coming months. In this context, Ms. Corinne Pereira, Consul General of the French Republic for Bavaria in Munich, will visit the University of Passau on March 9, 2022. During this visit, CENTOURIS will present its European research projects, such as the Upsurge project.

Mixed groups of stakeholders looked at three scales; city, neighbourhood, and demonstration site, to consider current perceptions of nature, existing routes, important stakeholders and potential nature-based solutions (NBS).

From community gardens to green mobility corridors, a new ‘water culture’ and spontaneous rewilding – there was no shortage of ideas to re-nature Belfast.

The next co-design workshop takes place in late May and will focus on determining specific NBS insertions at the city and site scales as well as reach out to include stakeholders missed at the first workshop.
